This piece has variations in softer thicker fiber with thinner giving variation in transparency. Very soft draping but with body for a jacket, top, dress, skirt - soft. How often do you see linen and wool? This is a shirt dress weight chambray weave with a slub. Also suitable for drawstring pants or other loose type. This is very special, I can't even really tell this is wool. There is a slub and the chambray is visibly moving with grain. Cobalt and natural. Soft draping. Every year I like to stock a new iteratation of a classic white shirting. I am so happy to have found this. The base is like lightweight but crisp semi sheer THEN woven into it are little ribbed sateen tucks that provide opacity and a sculptural body. I absolutely love this. Pale ice blue in a gorgeous luxury weight cotton sateen. This is opaque with quite a bit of body, perfect for a dramatic shirt with voluminous and/or structured sleeves.
