SPRING SEWING LOUNGES
Every Thursday (unless noted) Sign up and pay for each session separately
What is a sewing lounge? A sewing lounge is an open studio where students get assistance on their sewing projects and learn from others. All levels are welcome, class sizes are small (max. 3). Focus at L'Etoffe Fabrics in on garments sewing for adults or children. Students must bring their own machines and will have access to the cutting table and gravity feed iron. If you would like to use a serger while in the lounge there will be an extra charge of $10.
Please Note: Saturday sewing lounges are for working on sewing skills (garment construction and tailoring techniques) not major fitting issues. Students can get assistance on pinning muslins if a nip and tuck is needed but this is not a pattern making studio.
Please note class policy: Class fees are non - refundable. If you cannot attend a class, simply do not come to class. Please do not notify the shop. If you would like to transfer your space to another student - it is your responsibility to forward all class correspondence to this student and let the shop know the name of the new student. All classes will begin promptly.
The Stowe Bag is a wonderful sewing project and makes a great gift for the holidays. Perfect for knitting projects or as a market bag - pattern includes two sizes. Class is tailored for beginning sewers but all levels are welcome - this is a very fun project! We will learn many new skills including how to make and sew double fold bias tape. Class meets on 2 dates so we can cover the project from beginning to end. We will be making both a large and small bag. Practice makes perfect.
