Some projects that stopped by the shop last week - The Addison Dress from Sadi and Sam can be downloaded here - in a wonderfully soft Art Gallery knit we have in stock. Mackenzie in the Art Coat from Center for Pattern Design in a plaid wool and electric blue fold over trim (avail at L'Etoffe). A different take on the Tavlikki Sweater from Named Patterns Finland - many of the sewing clubbers have been making this in a woven and adding a closure at the back neck. Last but not least KIDS are making amazing things at L'Etoffe Fabrics.
FINALLY I AM BEGINNING MY SILK BLOUSE BLOUSE A MONTH SERIES FOR 2017. BEHIND TWO MONTHS SO WILL HAVE TO DOUBLE UP AT SOME POINT, CAN'T FALL TOO FAR BEHIND SINCE THE END OF THE WORLD IS UPON US - I NEED TO GO DOWN IN STYLE. I FOUND A GREAT BLOUSE IN A NINA RICCI SUIT ENSEMBLE PATTERN (ONCE UPON A TIME PATTERNS INCLUDED A FULL ENSEMBLE AND/OR MUTIPLE VARIATIONS) FROM THE SIXTIE'S. IT HAS A WONDERFULLY CHIC BIAS NECK COLLAR TIE AND....WHAT DREW ME INSTANTLY - A 20 BUTTON LOOPED CLOSURE UP THE BACK. THE FABRIC? A DESIGNER SILK TWILL FROM MILLY IN A GEOMETRIC PRINT REMINISCENT OF THE ERA. HOWEVER, I DECIDED TO MATCH THE PRINT AGAINST MY INSTINCTS. MORE SOON....
We have a wonderful collection of thick, soft, and cozy 100% organic cotton sweatshirt fleece at discounted prices and custom dyed colors. Also in stock are some great moderate stable knits that can be used similarly including scuba - here are our pattern choices.
